Welcome to the website for Ross River Anglican Church, Townsville. If you are looking for a spiritual home, spend a few minutes finding out about us. Hopefully, these pages will be helpful, but bear in mind that they cannot capture the life of a vibrant church community. Churches are not web pages, nor bricks and mortar, but people - real people - who hurt and laugh and cry, yet who are drawn together into a community with an unmovable hope of new life through the kindness of God in Christ Jesus.

We currently hold our services in the cool air conditioned comfort of the Middles School building at the Cathedral School. It is an easy venue to access for those who may not otherwise visit the school (see the Map). Some of our members are school families, but many are from other walks of life as well so everyone should feel welcome.

We are a young and welcoming church (our first service was May 2006), and we love having visitors or new people join us. You would be very welcome to come and check us out on any Sunday.

Car Park Access

The Thompson St car park has been enlarged and street access improved. Its now even easier to get to church! RRAC service is only meters away, with excellent pram and wheelchair access.

Every Sunday

At RRAC, church is on every Sunday of the year. Because God is God, and we are his people!

Sunday Club Kicks Off

Our Sunday Kid’s Club has kicked off with a team of enthusiastic leaders, some even more enthusiastic kids and an engaging program of games, singing, learning about our awesome God. The main program follows the school terms. If you are in primary school or middle school (or are young at heart!) you could find this the most rewarding thing you do all weekend!
