Welcome to the website for Ross River Anglican Church, Townsville. If you are looking for a spiritual home, spend a few minutes finding out about us. Hopefully, these pages will be helpful, but bear in mind that they cannot capture the life of a living church community. Churches are not web pages, nor bricks and mortar, but people - real people - who hurt and laugh and cry, yet who are drawn together into a community with an unmovable hope of new life through the kindness of God in Christ Jesus.

We currently hold our services in the brand new Lecture Theatre at the beautiful Cathedral School. It is an easy venue to access for those who may not otherwise visit the school. (A lift is available for those who need assistance getting to the first floor—see the Map). Some of our members are school families, but many are from other walks of life as well so everyone should feel welcome.

We are a young and welcoming church (our first service was May 2006), and we love having visitors or new people join us. You would be very welcome to come and check us out on any Sunday.

Isaiah - From Darkness to Dawn

In Term Two we are exploring the second half of the great Old Testament book of Isaiah. Come and hear the extraordinary way that this ancient document - written over 2500 years ago—speaks so insightfully to Australia in 2009. We have a bright future to look forward to!
