About Us

Our Sunday services are relaxed but dignified, remembering we have gathered as people who worship the living God.  Our preaching program aims to open the Scriptures to help us all learn more about Gods’ wonderful actions in history in bringing us salvation through the death and resurrection of his Son, Jesus Christ. As we sit under God’s word, the Holy Spirit encourages us to live our lives for our Lord. And we really enjoy our music in praise of God and in teaching and encouraging each other.

As we seek to grow ministries to people of all ages, we look forward to establishing a Sunday morning Kid’s Club program to complement our crèche program which runs in tandem with the sermon.

RRAC is committed to mission and to the pains of growth. We want to see people come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, whether they live here in Townsville or elsewhere in our very needy world.  We are very eager to make room for new members in our church community.

Ross River Anglican Church is a young church, but we are built on the oldest foundation there is: the Lord Jesus Christ. Since He is the centre of God’s purposes for our world, our church and our individual lives, we try to put Him in the centre of all we do.

The way we find out how to do this is by paying careful attention to  what he has told us in the Bible. We are convinced that God has revealed himself through the Scriptures, and that he still speaks through them to us today, informing us about our Lord and how we can have a fresh start with God and each other through Him.

We value the community that is being built at RRAC, as we seek to serve our God together. It is exciting to see what God is doing as he builds his church.
