Leadership |

|
We value the ministry of all of our members. |
|
All the members of Ross River Anglican Church are ministers! The Scriptures see us as all being gifted for serving Christ, each other and our world as we build his church together. Oversight and leadership of the church is provided by ministers ordained in the Anglican Church and other appointed leaders. The Senior Minister is Revd Tim Adkins who is assisted by Revd Haydn Swinbourn. Among their tasks is the training and equipping members for their frontline ministry in the world and their church.. |

Tim grew up in a Christian home in the beautiful Blue Mountains, where he learned to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. After University, he worked for a few years in corporate communication, then spent a year working for his church (Christ Church Anglican Church in Gladesville). It was here that he was impacted by the model of systematic preaching from the scriptures. He worked for Christ Church as a Trainee before attending |

Moore College. Afterwards, he worked on the team at St James Carlton (now St George North Anglican Church) for five years before coming to Townsville as Chaplain of the Cathedral School. Tim is married to Kathryn who among other talents, is not too rusty on the piano. They have three terrific children in Junior and Middle Schools at Cathedral. Tim’s hobbies once included losing golf balls. Now, they are his family, and on the odd occasion, sailing an old Hobie Cat. |

studying. He also used to enjoy painting (not houses - little bits of board). Haydn married Heather in 1980 and they have three children; Kaitlyn who now works for a Public Affairs company in Canberra, Phillipa who started a teaching degree in 2007 after a year of training in childcare, and Caleb who is in year 9 and among other things plays the drums. The best thing about ministry is belonging to a bunch of folks who are learning together how to best use our gifts from God and learning to be better disciples. |
