Ross River Anglican Church is a young church, founded in 2006 with just three families on the roll.  But we are built on the oldest foundation there is: the Lord Jesus Christ, and so we are hopeful of a healthy, growing church. 

Since Jesus Christ is the centre of God’s purposes for us, our world and our church, we try to put him in the centre of all we do.  The way we find out how to do this is by paying careful attention to  what he has told us in the Bible. We are convinced that God has revealed himself through the Scriptures, and that he still speaks through them to us today, informing us about our Lord and how we can have a fresh start with God and each other through him.

We value the community that is being built at RRAC, as we seek to serve our God together.  Church is about God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) and us - his people. We are the church, and God has given us all gifts and abilities to build up the church; serving him, serving each other and serving those who are still outside of Christ’s family but whom we serve in his name.  We are excited to see what God is doing as he uses ordinary people like us to be his fellow workers.

RRAC is committed to mission and to the pains of growth. We want to see people come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, whether they live here in Townsville or elsewhere in our very needy world.  We are very eager to make room for new members in our church family.
